Our training can be provided in person* or online via Zoom for a maximum of 15 participants.
While we usually offer this training over three days, we can also deliver this over six weeks if required.
Each attendee will receive a comprehensive workbook.

Defining Peer Support What is for? What is it not for? What skills and qualities make an effective peer supporter?
Module 2
Boundaries, confidentiality and safeguarding Understanding the need for setting and keeping boundaries while working in a support role
Module 3
Motivational interviewing and active listening
Module 4
Key issues session Includes a subject matter expert/ health professional. A mixture of subject information and how to adapt this for peers – how and when to tell your story and signpost effectively
Module 5
Goal setting, action planning and overcoming barriers (if the training is for 1 to 1 mentoring)

Practical application including role-plays and Q&As
