Welcome to The Peer Partnership
The Peer Partnership’s vision is a world where people with lived experience support others. We believe that one of the best ways of overcoming difficulties in your life is to speak to those who have experienced similar situations that you’ve been through.
We work toward this vision by providing peer support solutions, where people take their experiences in overcoming obstacles and barriers to living the life they want to lead, and share them with others facing similar circumstances.
The Peer Partnership is looking for Long COVID Peer Support Volunteers
This is an exciting opportunity for volunteers who are passionate about the difference their lived experience can make.
We will be providing Long COVID workshops and group peer support sessions for those living with Long COVID, and we need people living with Long COVID to facilitate these sessions. In this role you will be:
- Co-Facilitating workshops providing people recently diagnosed with Long COVID with information about the condition and helping them to understand how to manage their condition
- Facilitating six-week programmes of group peer support sessions. With training and support, you will provide a welcoming and supportive space for people to share their experiences of living with long COVID, condition management and encourage wellbeing.
You do not need to be an expert in long COVID to take part in this role, just to have lived with it. It’s your personal experience and enthusiasm to help others in the same situation we are interested in.
