This workshop is designed to support you to plan, develop and deliver focus groups to target audiences.
When preparing and designing a new service holding a focus group is an essential way to gain important insight into the needs of who the service is aimed at.
Gathering a group of potential service providers and users together for the planning stages of a project will provide important knowledge and information about the needs and expectations of those you are hoping to support.
As well as gathering information from the service user group, having focus group research can also help when applying for funding, as it will provide evidence of the demand for the service. It will also instil confidence in the funders you have approached that the design of the service has resulted from consultation with the people it will serve.
